WHY WE'RE HERE?
  • This website was launched in May 1997 to promote FREE and FAIR competition in the energy sector in Thailand. We believe that FREE competition must go hand in hand with FAIR competition for all stakeholders in the Thai energy market.
  • In order to comply with the "Official Information Act, B.E. 2540 (1997)" mandating government agencies to disclose information, we are happy to present all our information via this website for transparency in energy sector management in Thailand.
OUR MISSIONS
  • This is the government website. We will emphasize on the comprehensive energy information posted on the web rather than attractive graphics or state of the art technology in homepage construction. We intend to deploy simple internet language for fastest loading while delivering the richest information on Thai energy sector.

  • 10 March 2000 - NEPO Official Website moved to "Loxinfo."
  • Mirror site at "xoom.com" updated concurrently.
  • September 2000 - "xoom.com" became "NBCi"
    NEPO Page updated concurrently with the main page at Loxinfo.
  • August 2001 - NEPO pages at "NBCi" discontinued due to the changing policy of NBCi.
  • October 2002 - Due to the reorganization of all Thai bureaucratic system, NEPO changed its name to "Energy Policy and Planning Office, EPPO" under the Ministry of Energy
  • 12 December 2002 - THNIC approved the URL name changed reflecting the official name of the office, from "www.nepo.go.th" to "www.eppo.go.th".

From Windows ME/98/95, click "START" button, go to "SETTINGS" menu, in the "CONTROL PANEL" you must set "REGIONAL SETTINGS" to "THAI". With these settings, the "Microsoft Internet Explorer" (plus the power of "MS Windows Thai") has excellent Thai word-wrap feature to display Thai/English HTML pages.

We strongly recommend upgrading your browser to "MS IE 8" (most current version) now.
